Ingredients:
Rolled Oats 4 C
Brown Sugar ½ C
Salt pinch
Ground Cinnamon 1/4 t
Ground Nutmeg pinch
Vegetable Oil 1/3 C
Maple Syrup ¼ C
Honey ¼ C
Sugar 2T
Vanilla Extract 4 t
Orange Zest & juice 1 orange
Procedure:
1. Mix oats, brown sugar, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon in a bowl.
2. Spray sheet pan with nonstick vegetable spray. Place orange juice in a sauce pan and reduce to a syrupy consistency, add Orange zest, vegetable oil, maple syrup, honey, sugar, & vanilla extract and bring to a simmer over medium heat.
3. Pour hot mixture over oat mix, toss well and spread onto greased sheet pan.
4. Bake at 300° until golden brown, stirring occasionally. (about 12 minutes) Cool completely, break and store in an air tight container up to 2 weeks.
Tip: Grate the orange first and then juice it to make handling easier.
